Samuelson Law has long been known as a commercial real estate boutique, doing all things in transactional real estate. However, over the years, this firm has also handled a number of technology transactions, including acquisitions, debt and equity financings, confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, equipment, employee and other sharing agreements of various sorts, and employment agreements. Many of the concepts and provisions applicable to commercial real estate transactions also apply to technology transactions, but taking due account of the particular needs of technology companies and innovators for protections and the enforcement difficulties involved with intellectual property.

Now, with the opening of the firm’s new locations in Montgomery’s County, Maryland’s I-270 Corridor and near Fort Meade, the firm is expanding its technology transactions side. However, this firm does not file for or defend patents, trademarks or copyrights, and will continue working with law firms who specialize in those areas.
