Ratings
Ken Samuelson has received some of the highest and best ratings and memberships available, in the legal profession, by independent, nationally respected organizations. Those ratings are based upon objective criteria, not advertising spend or personal claims. To wit:
- ACREL. Ken was selected for membership, in the American College of Real Estate Attorneys (“ACREL”), in 1994. He has been a member since then. ACREL is the preeminent association of commercial real estate lawyers. Admission is by invitation only after a rigorous screening process.
- AVVO. Ken has an AVVO rating of 10 (Superb), which is its highest and best attorney rating. He has had that for at least the last 16 years. According to AVVO: “The model used to calculate the rating was developed with input from hundreds of attorneys, thousands of consumers, and many other legal professionals who deeply understand the work attorneys do. We created the Avvo Rating to reflect the type of information people have identified as important when looking to hire an attorney.”
- Justia. Ken has a Justia rating of 10, which is its highest and best attorney rating. According to Justia, its rating system IS based on solely attorney-to-attorney ratings of the subject attorneys’ legal knowledge, legal analysis, communication skills, and ethics and professionalism. Justia says: “We believe these are four important yet difficult to quantify considerations for consumers and businesses seeking to retain legal counsel.”
- Lead Counsel. Ken has been verified as a Lead Counsel. Lead Counsel SAYS: “When you see the Verification, you can be assured the attorney has met strict qualification standards that include:
- Professional experience in the relevant area of practice for your issues or business
- Current and in good standing with their state’s attorney governing authority with a clean disciplinary record”.
- Litigation Counsel of America. Ken was selected for membership in the Litigation Counsel of America (“LCA”). LCA describes itself as: “The Litigation Counsel of America is an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society established to reflect the new face of the American bar. Membership is limited to 3,500 Fellows, representing less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. . . .The purpose of the LCA is to recognize deserving, experienced, and highly qualified lawyers . . . . Fellows are selected and invited into Fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation.”
- Martindale-Hubbell. Ken has had a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent or 5/5, which is its highest and best attorney rating. He has had that rating for over the last 25 years. Martindale-Hubbell describes its rating system as follows: “For more than 130 years, Martindale-Hubbell has been evaluating attorneys for their strong legal ability and high ethical standards through a Peer Review Rating system. . . . AV Preeminent: The highest peer rating standard. This is given to attorneys. . . . who are ranked at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal expertise, communication skills, and ethical standards by their peers.”
- Super Lawyers. Ken has been selected for inclusion, in Super Lawyers, in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. Super Lawyers describes itself as “a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. . . . Our patented attorney selection process is peer influenced and research driven, selecting the top 5% of attorneys to the Super Lawyers list each year.” Super Lawyers selects attorneys on a state-by-state basis.
